Privacy Policy

APP NAVI (“the site”) is operated by the KantanPro development team. This page explains how personal information is handled, following how the site actually works.

What we collect and why

• Listing submissions: app name, official URL, description, developer name, developer site, and a contact email. Used to review listings and to contact you. The contact email is never published.
• Star ratings: the number of stars and the app rated. We cannot tell who gave a rating. To prevent duplicates and ballot stuffing, a per-browser identifier and the IP address are converted into irreversible hashes before storing; the original values are not stored.
• Messages to developers: your name, reply email address and message. With your consent on the form, they are shared only with the developer addressed (we forward them by email, or a logged-in developer reads them on the site). The IP address is stored as a hash to prevent abuse.
• Contact form: your name, reply email address and message. Used to answer your question and for site operations. The IP address is stored as a hash to prevent abuse.
• Developer login: if you log in with GitHub or Google, your display name and the provider’s ID number, used to manage the link to your developer page. We do not obtain your email address, and we do not store passwords or access tokens.

What we do not store

• Passwords, email addresses (at login), payment information, location data.
• We currently use no analytics tools and no advertising trackers.

Cookies and browser storage

• If you log in, we use a cookie that keeps you logged in (up to 30 days) and a temporary cookie used only during login (10 minutes). Both are necessary for the site to work.
• For star ratings, your browser’s local storage holds a per-browser identifier and your own ratings. You can clear it in your browser settings.

External services

• Cloudflare: serves the site and stores data. Cloudflare records connection logs.
• GitHub / Google: used only if you choose to log in, on their own authentication pages. Their handling of data follows their own privacy policies.

Sharing with third parties

• Except where required by law, we do not share collected information with third parties without consent. Messages are shared with the addressed developer, with your consent, as described above.

Retention and deletion

• We keep information for as long as needed to operate the site. To check, correct or delete your information, contact us below. We will respond within reason after confirming it is you (star ratings are stored in a form that cannot identify you, so individual ones may not be locatable).

Changes

• We may revise this policy. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page.
